WESTFIELD UNIVERSITY — STUDENT ACCOMMODATION GUIDE
The university offers three types of on-campus accommodation for first-year students. All rooms include a bed, desk, wardrobe, and Wi-Fi access. Heating and electricity are included in the price.
HALL A — SINGLE ROOMS
Price: $180 per week
Location: Next to the main library, 5-minute walk to lecture halls
Features: Private bathroom, shared kitchen (6 students per kitchen), laundry room in the basement, quiet study area on each floor
Meals: Not included. Students can cook in the shared kitchen or eat at the campus cafeteria.
Note: This is the most popular option. Early application is recommended.
HALL B — SHARED ROOMS (2 students per room)
Price: $120 per week
Location: Behind the sports centre, 10-minute walk to lecture halls
Features: Shared bathroom (1 per 4 students), shared kitchen (10 students per kitchen), TV lounge, bicycle storage
Meals: Not included
Note: Ideal for students who enjoy socializing and prefer a lower cost option.
HALL C — SINGLE ROOMS WITH MEAL PLAN
Price: $250 per week
Location: Central campus, 3-minute walk to lecture halls
Features: Private bathroom, no kitchen (meals provided), common room with TV and games, 24-hour reception desk
Meals: Breakfast and dinner included Monday to Friday. Weekend meals available at $8 each.
Note: Best for students who prefer not to cook. The dining hall serves a variety of international dishes.
HOW TO APPLY
Applications open on March 1st and close on May 31st. To apply, complete the online form at www.westfield.edu/housing. You will receive a confirmation email within 5 working days. A deposit of $500 is required to secure your room. This deposit is refundable if you cancel before July 15th.
IMPORTANT RULES
- No pets allowed in any accommodation
- No smoking inside buildings
- Quiet hours: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
- Visitors must sign in at reception and leave by 11:00 PM
